PICKERING RAILWAY STATION.

Pickering Railway Station is the southern terminus of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and is Britain`s most visited Heritage railway and is also one of the world`s oldest railway lines. You can catch a steam train and travel 18 lovely miles through North Yorkshire Moors National Park. This lovely line runs between the stations of (see map below) Pickering, Grosmont, Levisham, Goathland (where Heartbeat was filmed) and Whitby. Pickering station is still decorated in the 1930`s style plus it has a traditional tea room, not to be missed if you are thirsty or hungry.
