HUTTON LE HOLE.

Hutton Le hole is a lovely small village in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, England about seven miles north west of Pickering. Hutton Le hole is an attractive traditional English village, complete with tea rooms, local pub and several gift/craft shops. Also Hutton Le hole is home to the Ryedale Folk Museum which is Yorkshires leading open air museum. This museum is set in 3 acres containing 13 historic buildings and they are shops, thatched cruck cottages, Elizabethan manor house, barns and workshops. Unfortunately I did not visit this museum as we was on route to Pickering, but hope to return to see this museum. The glorious green grass in the village is ideal for picnics in the summer months. The stream (Hutton Beck) that runs through the centre of the village does not carry much water through the summer, but there should be enough to have a paddle. Hutton Le hole is an ideal base for walkers.
