CHURCH COVE.

Church Cove is a hamlet in the civil parish of Landewednack in Cornwall. Its nearest town is Helston which lies approximately 10.1 miles north west from the hamlet. The parish is notable for being the most southern point on British mainland. Church Cove lies within the Cornwall area of outstanding natural beauty ( AONB ). Parts of the hamlet lie within Caerthillian to Kennack SSSI ( site of special scientific interest ). The beach gets its name from one of the more curiously sited of Cornwalls old churches, the church of St Winwaloe ( St Wynwallow ) at Gunwalloe. Located at the northern end of the beach, the church is separated from the sea only by the rocky hump of Castle Mound, whilst its detached bell tower is actually dug into the cliff side. Today there is just the church, farm and sandy beach, an idyllic spot, except in a storm.

  1. OK. WOW!!! Gorgeous. This is just a cozy area, for sure. This location makes you just want to lie down somewhere, and take a nap. The roofs that appear to be thatch are really nice. I don't know. Just a great looking place. The shoreline scenes are great as well. I like the bunny wabbits, too. By the way, my girlfriend Belinda likes the photos, too.
