ROBEY and CO THRASHING MACHINE.
was made in Lincoln in 1894 costing £100 when new. It served all it`s working life at Martin Moor, Metheringham, Lincolnshire and was last used in 1963. Threshing machines loosened the edible grain from the stalk and removed the chaff. Having been through drums, riddles and blowers, clean grain emerges from one end and stalks at the other.
The Threshing Machine.
Steam Traction Engines similar to this one would drive the Threshing machine.

This older farming equipment is just fantastic stuff! I mean come on! How many of those old threshing machines are still around? We need to remember the past so we can improve upon it. I have seen similar steam traction machines like the one you have here made by Case. The colors are similar but that does not mean anything. Wonder who made that one? I recognized that old IH Farmall right off. There are some old timers around Texas that still run them. Love this subject matter. Good photos, my friend! What's next???
