The streetlife museum is located in Kingston Upon Hull, England. The roots of the collection date back to the early 20th century. Core areas of the collection include veteran cars which we shall look at in part two, Horse - drawn carriages and objects relating to local public transport. The recreation of an old cobbled street with replica shops along it, a chemist, grocers and bike shop is a favourite of mine. Some of the shops you can go so far into them and the shop windows display`s old toys etc, trouble though is the reflection you get if you want to photograph them. There is old forms of transport to see such as buses, trams, horse and carriages and cars.
Carriage repair workshop.
Cycle repair workshop.
To be continued.

Hi Les! That place looks like it would be a lot of fun. I could spend a lot of time there, I think. The whole place just looks like a lot of fun. Great photos by the way. If you didn't take them, I'd never know about it. Good Job!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave it is a very interesting museum you just dont know what is around each corner. There is a stage coach simulater that gives you the sounds and smells of being in a horse drawn carriage going from Hull to London. Fantastic stuff.
