MINIONS.

Minions is a village in Cornwall, England. It is situated on the eastern flank of Bodmin Moor northwest of Caradon Hill, approximately four miles north of Liskeard. Minions is first recorded in 1613 and its meaning is unknown. The village is dominated by Caradon Hill, standing at 1,217 feet high, on which there is a TV transmission mast on the summit. There are many disused quarries and mine buildings in the area due to the villages mining heritage.

  1. OK. I admit it, Les. When i first saw Minions I thought of those little yellow critters in the movies. Sorry. This village is interesting. Mining has such history to it all over the world pretty much. Never been one to like going down in one myself, though. I would imagine that up on that Caradon Hill you would have quite the view. Especially up at the top of the mast, which I would not mind, except the climb. With a new roof it looks like you could put the heritage center back in operation. I like the pumping and stamping engine buildings. I like this whole area, actually. Scenic. I could camp out there for days on end and be totally relaxed. The scenic photos you took really show the landscape and it is beautiful! Good photos as always, my friend! My shop should be finished with all the renovations tomorrow afternoon. All the heavy stuff is done and mainly put things up in their new locations.
