THE PARROT ZOO.

The Parrot Zoo is located at Dickonhill Road, Friskney, Lincolnshire, PE22 8PF, England. This sanctuary, the largest of it`s kind in the world, was founded in 1994 and opened to the general public in 2003. It now houses just under 2,000 parrots as well as a growing array of other exotic animals. It is the world`s largest Parrot Rescue Charity and the only one of it`s type in the UK to offer long term sanctuary to the many parrots and parakeets that need their assistance. Unfortunately I could not photograph every type of parrot there, due to the overly thick wire fronts to their compounds and also their was many types of parrots to one huge compound making it difficult to focus on a particular species. But I have at least got a few pictures, but I have got to say the variety and different colours of these birds is truly magnificent. All the time we were there you could here the parrots calling who is it, what`s you`re name and my favourite pretty Polly to people as they passed by.
